Thanks to your enthusiasm, people are already asking about the third annual Meg’s Legacy of Hope Golf and Dinner. Mark your calendars now: Monday, September 8, 2025.
So many people gathered last fall for a beautiful day of golf and an exciting evening with dinner, raffle prizes, and auction items to support this great cause of improving the mental health of youth. The outstanding attendance led to a sold-out event of fun while raising funds to make a big difference in our community. With the support and generosity of sponsors, donors, and attendees, we raised over $300,000! Everyone’s camaraderie and passion for this important mission is overwhelming.
It takes many wonderful volunteers to run a successful fundraiser. Our success would be impossible without all who volunteered tirelessly to button up every detail beautifully. Special appreciation goes to our Golf Chairs, Sophie Butz and Kerry Miller, along with their Golf Committee: Matt Brolley, Larry Butz, Beth Edwards, Ken Edwards, Brian Jensen, and Norie Verwijst. Beth Gauthier’s work on the raffle was a terrific addition, and of course, the staff and great course play at Hawthorn Woods Country Club made the day excellent for all who attended.
Hearing the guest speaker from Partners for Our Communities that evening was impactful for the audience. She shared some intimate insight into the lives of vulnerable clients who benefit from our grants, which was a humbling and powerful message. Granting funds for their counseling sessions and directly supporting youth needing guidance is gratifying work we are pleased and honored to support.
