Gratitude is the word that sums up our feelings. We are humbled and blessed by your support and generosity as we continue our journey to carry Meg’s spirit by assisting others dealing with mental health issues.
I want to personally thank our dedicated Board of Directors – Bob, Kerry, Susan, Monica, and Brandon – for coming together and establishing this new organization in a positive, expansive manner to bring help for mental health and hope for living to youth and young adults.
We are thrilled to have made such progress in the first nine months at Meg’s Legacy of Hope! We have built a team of dedicated volunteers, completed our first major fundraiser, developed a grading system for grant applicants, and just completed our initial Grant Cycle, awarding $122,000 in funding to some great organizations to assist in counseling for anxiety, depression, grief, and suicide prevention. You will read more about our grantees in this newsletter. There are so many great programs out there to support mental health, and we look forward to granting even more in the future.
I hope you enjoy this inaugural newsletter to stay apprised of what’s happening at Meg’s Legacy of Hope. We plan to communicate with you on a quarterly basis in this format. Share your input on topics you would like to read more about by dropping a note to [email protected]. Please help us spread the word by sharing our mission with others and following us on social media.
There is comfort in this communal commitment to support mental health through Meg’s Legacy of Hope. Our team of volunteers, and especially our family, work diligently in hope of eliminating any family from experiencing a similar painful journey.
Impacting the lives and mental health of our younger generation is in reach. Please contact us to volunteer your time and expertise. Together we can make a difference.
With true appreciation,
Larry Butz
