In January, we received a heartwarming email from Megan’s former co-worker at ITW, Jillian Economy. They were colleagues in ITW’s Emerging Leaders Development Program (ELDP). Jillian is currently pursuing her MBA at DePaul and is in a Project Management course designed to teach skills and apply them by raising money for a chosen charity. She chose Meg’s Legacy of Hope!
Jillian’s outreach was unexpected, as it came from a name unknown to the Butz’s, but it was no surprise when she said, “My life is simply better for having known Meg.”
Jillian and her team organized a virtual 5K since their classmates are in different geographic regions. With donations plus ITW’s generous triple match program, they raised $4,045 in total.
Jillian said, “I honestly was so excited to be able to execute this project and have it support Meg’s charity. I am thrilled that the ITW triple match is processing and that our small project is making a little bit of an impact.”
We cannot thank Jillian and her team enough for their support of Megan this way! This is truly amazing to see how Meg’s spirit is being kept alive!
