In December, we initiated our first toy drive and distribution of gifts to carry on Megan’s passion for helping children experience the joy of receiving presents during the holiday season.
More than 400 gifts were collected, wrapped and distributed, for babies to young adults, thanks to the generosity of so many of you. The gifts were shared with the local Boys and Girls Club and Partners for our Communities in Palatine, both organizations that are dedicated to improving the lives of children and young adults, nurturing every child’s potential.
Further extension of “Meg’s Gifts of Love” included the distribution of $2,000 in gift cards to 150 under-resourced high school girls at Our Lady of Tepeyac in Chicago. We also gifted $4,500 to 9 families recently suffering from suicide, and part of LOSS (Loving Outreach to Suicide Survivors), a support program run by Catholic Charities of Chicago.
