More than 250 generous people gathered in September for a beautiful day of golf and an exciting evening with dinner, raffle, and auction items to support this great cause of improving the mental health of youth. The outstanding attendance led to a sold-out event of fun while raising funds to make a big difference in our community. With the support and generosity of sponsors and donors, plus all who attended, we raised over $305,000! Everyone’s camaraderie and passion for this important mission is overwhelming.
It takes many wonderful volunteers to run a successful fundraiser. This would be impossible without all who volunteered tirelessly to button up every detail beautifully. Special appreciation goes to our Golf Chairs, Sophie Butz and Kerry Miller, along with their Golf Committee of Matt Brolley, Grace Butz, Larry Butz, Beth Edwards, Ken Edwards, Beth Gauthier, Brian Jensen, and Norie Verwijst.
Hearing the guest speaker from Josselyn Center that evening was impactful for the audience. She shared some intimate insight into the lives of clients who benefit from our grants, which was a humbling and powerful message. Granting funds for Josselyn’s Intensive Outpatient Program in Grayslake and directly supporting youth needing guidance is gratifying work that Meg’s Legacy is proud to support.
